RECORRIDOS PARA CENTROS ESCOLARES
ARTURO BAREA.

URBAN ROUTE
PLACES OF THE OTHER(S) VANGUARD(S)
CHAMBERÍ AND THE ENTRY INTO MODERNITY
Saturday, November 26 / 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
The first decades of the 20th century and the arrival of modernity entail radical changes for women that will bring a progressive female presence in the public arena, from the workplace, to the political sphere or that of intellectual and artistic production. In this tour we will approach some of the spaces in Chamberí where women were opening a new path that allowed them to go beyond the domestic territory and break into the public sphere.

WE GO ON HOLIDAYS!
The year 2023 has given us a lot so far, new projects, new friends, reunions, many shared journeys, explorations, discoveries, learning... And now it's finally time to slow down and recharge our batteries, after the intensity of these months, we need it!
So for a few weeks we're taking up the sails and giving free rein to rest, although we'll also be reading and ruminating, slowly and calmly, on new things that we want to bring you on our return from holidays.
We'll tell you all about it and we'll be back in September, rested and eager to walk the streets together.
MAP MEMORIES OF NEIGHBOURHOOD STRUGGLES IN ORCASITAS
Between October and December we dived in the history of Orcasitas' neighbourhood social movements, seeking to explore memories that would allow us to think about it from a different perspective, highlighting the role played by women through their actions in the field of the everyday life. In the project Memories of neighbourhood struggles in Orcasitas, we seek to address another type of resistance, those that sustain day-to-day life.
We developed this project through a workshop with neighbours, which was set up in collaboration with the Orcasitas Neighbourhood Association and with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sport. What was collected was presented in an urban tour and translated in this map designed by Raquel G. Ibáñez.
